Its about to be that time of year again where everything turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month and it's time to show your support. This year is Pink Positive's Third Annual Laugh in the Face of Breast Cancer Comedy Fundraiser on October 23, 2014 at 7:30PM at Rudyard's Pub!

Come out and support women and men who have been affected by breast cancer and their families who have stood by them as you laugh until your cheeks hurt!

This year's line-up includes some of Houston's funniest comedians: Judd Jones, Barry Laminack, Tim Mathis, John Nguyen, Steve Padilla and Ashton Womack!

Also, this year is extra special for me since my mother, who has inspired me to raise money for breast cancer research through her 13 year battle, will be watching from above.

90% of the proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We thank you for your support and look forward to laughing in the face of breast cancer with you!

You can buy your tickets and/or donate at http://tinyurl.com/pinkpositive2014

Please help me get the word out by sharing this with your friends!

    2425 Norfolk Street
    Houston, TX 77098
As a pivotal member of bands such as Joe Rockhead, The Ugly Americans and The Scabs, Bob Schneider has been a fixture on the Austin, Texas music scene since the early 1990s. Now focused on a solo career, he's known to play everything from mellow acoustic ballads, to glossy pop and twangy rock and roll. The devoted fan base he's accrued over the years has come as a result of hard work, a couple dozen albums and a commitment to live performances that has seen him playing weekly gigs at Austin's Saxon Pub for around ten years running. With a sturdy backbone comprised of his engaging stage presence and strong musicianship, Schneider seems willing to tackle any style he deems fit, without ever sacrificing his inert talents as a pop-minded songwriter.

    1824 Spring Street
    Houston, TX 77007
A darkly comic riff on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death", Obie Award-winning playwright Lisa D'Amour's "Red Death" follows a kindergarten teacher on an existential cross-country quest. Tasked by a mysterious extra-legal organization called The Panel with finding the "origin of evil, the root of denial and the basic human weakness that causes us to fear death," schoolteacher/lifeguard Jane Whithers sets out on the heels of Prospero Albright, a childhood friend who she thinks holds the answer. Her comic rollercoaster ride through existential dilemmas and everyday fears takes her from Florida beaches to Texas sewers in search of the key to life's biggest questions.

    Mass Appeal
    Grace Theater - A .D. PlayersOctober 23, 2014 7:30 PM
    2710 W. Alabama
    Houston, TX 77098
Made into a movie starring Jack Lemmon, the award-winning comedy-drama "Mass Appeal" tracks the tension between Father Tim Farley, a popular Catholic pastor at an affluent, suburban church and the brash young deacon who challenges his comfortable complacency. The two first meet when seminarian Mark Dolson speaks up during Father Farley's Sunday sermon, arguing in favor of ordaining women into the priesthood. Intrigued by the youthful firebrand, Farley requests Dolson be assigned to his church -- kicking off plenty of conflict. Ultimately, though, each accepts some valuable insights from the other on becoming a better spiritual leader, not to mention a better man.
