    »Three Sistahs

    October 24, 2014 8:00 PM

Back for an encore performance, this blues and pop musical set in 1969 is about three sisters -- an idealistic activist, a suburban housewife and a diligent professor -- who gather for the third year in a row for a funeral. Two years ago it was Mamma. Last year it was Daddy. This year it is their only brother. When they return to pack up the family home, sparks fly as they share wine, memories, dreams and secrets. During the last night in their childhood home, these three sisters determine what family means to them now. Starring Helen Hayes Award winners Bernardine Mitchell ("A Resting Place" with Morgan Freeman, "Mahalia") and Roz White ("Gee's Bend").

    »Steep Canyon Rangers

    October 24, 2014 7:30 PM

Steep Canyon Rangers is a bluegrass band from Brevard, North Carolina that rose to prominence in 2009 through a series of performances with famed comedian and bluegrass musician, Steve Martin. Since being nominated by the International Bluegrass Music Association for "Album and Gospel Performance of the Year" in 2008, the Steep Canyon Rangers' popularity skyrocketed beyond its members' wildest expectations. Following this performance, Steve Martin temporarily joined the band on banjo and together they performed on television programs and at bluegrass festivals throughout the world. The hard work paid off, because in 2011, the Steep Canyon Rangers and Steve Martin were both named "Entertainers of the Year" by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Dave Landau might appear to be just like you, but he’s not really. His mind goes to places that angels would fear to tread, and he has no problem telling you about it. The mark of a great comedian, it is said, is the ability to find jokes where others would find tears. Dave find jokes everywhere; with his own foibles and faults, to his family, to pop culture and the state of the world today.Cutting his comedic teeth as a teenager in Detroit in the Second City’s Conservatory, Dave Landau has risen to become one of the most in-demand headliners working today. He’s appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live At Gotham” as well as being featured prominently on two consecutive seasons of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” He’s become a regular on the nationally-syndicated “Bob & Tom” radio show, and was honored as one of the top 21 club comics of today at HBO’s Las Vegas Comedy Festival.
