Originally built in 1733, the church underwent some additions and modifications in 1921, now taking the shape of a cruciform. The brick church was laid in Flemish bond and also includes a small cemetery outside. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

»St. Thomas' Church

Nestled in Croom, Saint Thomas' Episcopal Church is one of the oldest churches in Maryland. The construction of the church began in 1743, and was completed two years later in 1745. It was designed by Daniel Page in the Gregorian style, and was known as the 'Page Chapel' until the mid-19th Century. Thomas John Clagett, the first Episcopal Bishop of Maryland, served at this church. In 1888, a bell tower was added in his name. The 19th Century also saw Victorian architectural additions made to the Gregorian structure.
