Mount San Antonio, commonly called Mount Baldy, is the tallest mountain in the LA area at 10,068 feet (3,069 meters). The mountain is home to various wildlife, including desert bighorn sheep and lodgepole chipmunks. Mount San Antonio has various hiking trails, including three trails that reach the top of the mountain. There is often snow on its peak during the winter, which is perhaps why the mountain was nicknamed Mount Baldy.
