AFI named her the greatest female star in Hollywood history. Overcoming her early labeling as "box office poison," Katharine Hepburn went toe-to-toe with such screen icons as Humphrey Bogart, James Stewart and Cary Grant on her way to win four Oscars. Her fierce independence made her a feminist icon. She dated Howard Hughes and had a secret 26-year affair with Spencer Tracy. Now, an unseen side of this legend comes to life in the one-woman play "Kate", by acclaimed playwright Rick Foster ("Vivien"). Set on New Year's Eve 1999, Hepburn reflects on her life and loves as she ponders, at age 92, what the future holds. Filled with fond memories while also delving into uncharted emotional waters, "Kate" is a revealing portrait of a larger-than-life character.
