»North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher

The place is instrumental in looking after several species of marine animals and does a great job in educating the visitors about these fascinating creatures which face dangers of extinction and pollution. Daily programs at the aquarium include observing divers as they swim through the shoal of the Cape Fear river; this is an interactive program where the diver entertains questions from the excited crowd. They also let you touch and feed certain amphibians. And the program ends with a film on aquatic wild life. In addition, other programs share interesting stories and knowledge about animals with kids, while the outdoor exploration lets kids have a one-on-one with professional naturalists out in the wild. Summer camps and scout programs are also organized annually, and the aquarium can also be used as a party venue for your little ones birthday.
