Bellamy-Ferriday House and Garden
May to Sep - Th to Su from 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM,Oct - Sa to Su from 12:00 PM to 04:00 PMAdded to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the Bellamy Ferriday House and Garden expresses the passions of two very different yet distinctive individuals from two very different time periods. The first owner of the house, Rev. Joseph Bellamy, who played a key role in the religious revival of the 1740s built the house adding architectural elements as his family and stature grew. Caroline Ferriday, the last owner of the house, who inherited the property from her father built a beautiful garden in the home. Today, the house is a museum of several European and American antiques. Caroline’s blooming garden of roses, peonies and lilacs has also been maintained. The house is open for tours from May through October.
