Ann Arbor Comedy ShowcaseJuly 25, 2014 10:30 PM
    314 East Liberty Street
    Ann Arbor, MI 48104
As a comedian who resides in Chicago, Andy Woodhull has a blunt sense of humor that can oftentimes get mistaken for unabashed cruelty. But the cynacism is just an unpretentious Mid-Western spirit that permiates Woodhull's words. Getting his start in the early aughts, Woodhull entered into comedy competitions and even won a few of 'em--which helped spread his fame and name around to a few key watchers outside of the niche Mid-Western comedy scene. Having become somewhat of a comedian laureate for the city of Chicago, Woodhull's style of humor might be a bit spiked and unfiltered, but it manages to suit the Windy City perfectly.

Known for its various 1980s hits, Loverboy is a rock band from Alberta,Canada that initially operated between 1979 and 1988 before reforming in 1991. The band's eponymous debut album was released in 1980 and immediately captured a widespread audience the hit single "Turn Me Loose." Loverboy followed-up the effort with 1981's Get Lucky, which spawned the now iconic arena rock anthem, "Working for the Weekend." As the band rode a massive wave of success throughout the decade, lineup changes and creative differences forced a break up in 1988, though it wasn't long before the band was back on stage together in 1991. Loverboy droppedSix, its first studio effort in a decade, in 1997, and continues to both tour and release records into the 21st century.
