The historic Paintsville Country Club was built in 1930 in Classical Revival style. The golf course was the first of the 18-hole links in the Kentucky Highlands in 1929 and was designed by Dr. Paul B. Hall. Comprising of hilly fairways and waterways, it is a challenging golf course for avid golfers. The clubhouse officially opened its doors in 1939 and is owned by the city. Made up of sandstone, this charming retreat has been a host to many dignitaries and is set amidst lush greenery.
Edgewood Country Club is ideally situated in Charleston. This 18-hole country club offers a 72 par golf course spread over an area of 6330.39 meters (20,769 feet) and was crafted to the designs of George W. Cobb.
