The Delaware State Fairgrounds are set in the picturesque city of Harrington. This is one of the premier outdoor venues in all of Delaware and has caught the eye of national and international event organizers who are impressed with the kind of arrangements available for consumer fairs, trade shows and agricultural events. Suitably located by the national highway, transport connections are also quick and convenient.
The Feed Company is the student venue of the Eagle Nest Church. It is also used as a concert space, coffee shop and a community center for the church. This intimate place is equipped with good acoustics.
Over 75 performances and other events are hosted throughout the state every year and the schools performances offer diverse musical styles sure to entertain everyone. Performances are usually free and are always open to the public. The school has two branches in Milford and Wilmington.
Home of the Second Street Players, presenting a mix of drama, comedy, music and mystery in a community theater atmosphere.
Founded in 1990, this about-fifty-member band plays more than 25 public concerts each year. They have even put out a best selling CD---"Broadway Blockbusters."
For the biggest and brightest local events, check out the schedule of the Wicomico Civic Center. Home to a variety of shows, the center is perfect for arranging conferences and trade shows. The Normandy Arena provides 35,000 square feet of exhibition space. Midway Room, Flanders and Danang provide a comfortable area for holding meetings. Some of the famous events that have been held here include the Monster Trucks & Thrill Show and legendary artists Bob Dylan and Def Leppard has played here.
A member of the South Atlantic League, the Delmarva Shorebirds is the Class "A" Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
