The rules are simple: Laugh and the light stays green, ensuring the comic more time. Look confused? Not getting it? The light turns yellow letting the comic know You're losing us! 30 seconds of yellow and the light goes red, Next comic please.  The Rules of the Road were designed to give our audience the opportunity to get the maximum enjoyment at a live comedy show while giving comics a chance to get genuine feedback on their performance.

Oakland band Howlin Rain is lead by former Comets on Fire member Ethan Miller, who broke from the band in 2006 to work on his Howlin Rain project. His sound quickly caught on to audiences and record execs alike, even catching the attention of Columbia Records chairman and legendary producer Rick Rubin. Miller quickly penned a deal with Rubin to release records on Columbia's American Recordings imprint, and have been releasing records via American since. The band tours frequently through out North America, and were even chosen by Belle & Sebastian to play their All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
