    »Instituto Tomie Ohtake

    Instituto Tomie Ohtake's red and black striped tower rises from the Pinheiros district, beckoning residents and travelers to explore a gallery that extensively covers Brazilian art from 1950 onwards. Named for artist Tomie Ohtake, the museum speaks to many of the pop cultural and political moments that have shaped the area's art scene over the post-modern era. Consisting of seven rooms spread across two floors, the gallery is part of a massive complex that houses lecture halls, an education center and four studios among other dedicated spaces for art and art history exploration.

    »São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound

    Museu da Imagem e do Som (São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound) was founded in 1970 and gives an insight to the visitor about the impact of media on the world.     »Brazilian Museum of Sculpture (MuBE)

    MuBE was founded in 1995 on 7000 square meters (75,300 square feet) of land successfully revived after a protest against the construction of a shopping center. Paulo Mendes da Rocha was the modern architectural force behind the concrete structure that punctuates a Roberto Burle Marx-designed landscape. The establishment leads to underground exhibition areas that feature a rotating schedule of established and emerging artists. The inaugural show saw 140 pieces of Victor Brecheret, while works by Candido Portinari, Sônia Ebling, Francisco Brennand and Ivald Granato have graced the space. Sculptures in bronze, stone, ceramic marble, iron and a host of media are showcased by way of geometric representations, graphic installations and three-dimensional art.

    »Museu de Arte de São Paulo - MASP

    This museum is considered one of the most important art museums in Latin America. It contains works mainly by European artists from the 13th Century up to the present. Among the most significant works are paintings by Rembrandt, Goya, Matisse, Van Gogh, Modigliani, Renoir, Manet, Monet, Dali and Picasso.
