If you are not the boogieing type, then get a drink for yourself from one of the many bars in the place, and just be.
There is no better example of the cultural melting pot that is the Bay Area than this hip and happening spot. The Lido Club boasts of a Vietnamese dance club upstairs and a Mexican bar downstairs. You can decide for yourself how to operate while inside the place. Enjoy the Salsa music downstairs or, if dressed appropriately (the strict fashion police here have high standards), spin the night away on the dance floor upstairs.
The Blank Club is the only punk rock nightclub in San Jose. A full on live gig venue, it was voted as 'Silicon Valley's Best Live Music Club' of 2003 and 2004. The clubs silver tinged stage bursts with energy and the fans pack in week after week. Every band in the San Jose area as well as other bands from the state have played here at least once or twice. The drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is divey and intimate which makes this place a haunt for friends as well as couples. The place has impeccable acoustics, hence no matter where you are in the club you can enjoy the music loud and clearly. They're closed on Sundays and Mondays.

It's easy to miss Club Milano as you're passing by, but you'll be lucky to discover this hidden gem. Many say it gets a bit warm inside this venue during the evening, but bearing the heat is worth it for the fun tunes and dancing. Their Friday nights are quite popular, with couples grooving to some infectious salsa beats. The revamped decor really adds a dash of funk to this place.

You can listen to salsa music or dance to live bands performing high-energy Hispanic music along with a stylish crowd. Supposedly, this is the longest bar in San Jose. Even if that is not the case, it is long enough to warrant entrances on both First Street and Second Street. A lengthy and skinny establishment, it caters to mostly working class types and locals who pound Coronas all night. There is a DJ sometimes, if you feel like cutting the rug a little. It is a good place to escape the urban sprawl. In fact, you can barely even notice it from here.
