Chicago natives OK Go were formed in 1998 by childhood friends Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind who met at art camp when they were 11. Building up a reputation for catchy alternative-pop while playing as the house band for the television series This American Life, the band found fame with the release of its 2007 music video for "Here It Goes Again," which consisted entirely of a choreographed treadmill routine and received tremendous attention via YouTube. After garnering a Grammy for this video, the band had the world's attention and continues to create similarly catchy songs with creative videos today.

Orville Richard Burrell is a Jamaican-born singer/songwriter and rapper who releases music under the moniker Shaggy. Shortly after relocating to Brooklyn, New York at the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Marine Crops and served in the Persian Gulf War, during which he embraced his affinity for singing to endure the monotony of military service. Upon returning to the states he decided to pursue music as a career and released his debut album Pure Pleasure, in 1993. Shaggy saw his first major hit with the title track of the Grammy Award-winning albumBoombastic, in 1995, and became a certified pop star with his 2000 album Hot Shot. His fusion of reggae, hip-hop, R&B and pop sounds, particularly on tracks like "Angel" and "Wasn't Me," resonated with a world-wide audience throughout the decade. Although his mainstream appeal has faded into the 2010s, he continues to release his signature brand of contemporary R&B on albums such as 2012's Rise.
