Nestled to the south of Salem, Bush's Pasture Park offers a relaxing oasis from hectic urban life. Spread across 90.5 acres (36.62 hectares), this pasture functions as a botanical garden and a recreational park. The park is home to the Bush House Museum, that was once the abode of Asahel Bush, founder of a newspaper and a bank. The park features a rose bed, tulip garden and perennial flowering plants. Horse race tracks, jogging and hiking trails, bike paths, play areas and picnic tables make this park an ideal place to spend the day with family or friends.

Salem Flag Football is an adult flag football league that allows you to create your own flag football team with your friends. Team registration is done online. Each team will play in seven regular season games. At the end of the seven weeks of regular season a league tournament will be held.

Woodburn Dragstrip as it's name suggests is a quarter mile strip of road that was mainly used for drag races. With a great honor at a very early stage as the Business of the Year in 1989, the track was one of the first to receive this honor. Conducting several legal races on most of the weekends from March to October and on Fridays from May to September, this place attracts several visitors to watch the races and also to participate in them.
Silver Falls State Park is the largest of its kind in Oregon. Ideal for hiking trails and camping, this site is open throughout the year. The location has an abundance of scenic beauty and a great scope for photography. The place is spectacularly adorned with waterfalls.
