Established in 1997, Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge has bottomland hardwood forests which are known for its rich ecosystem. An abundant amount of animals call this reserve home, including Cerulean warblers, Northern River Otters, Bobcats, and Cope's Gray Tree Frogs. Visitors can walk along the trails and go fishing after receiving a permit. Hunting is also allowed if you get a permit and it's hunting season.
Well known as the unique land of natural resources and a great place for educating oneself about nature, Henry N. Barkhausen Cache River Wetlands Center is an amazing place. Built in a way to protect the natural environment and to spread the idea of how to preserve the same through educating the people, and giving them a view of how the surrounding environment is preserved at this site. The site also offered recreational activities, museum, wetlands, hunting, hiking, fishing, watching wildlife, etc. where one can enjoy as well as learn.
