Going up in the world gives you a whole new perspective, and this company is here to help you do that! Rising in a hot-air balloon, you float over glittering lakes and pine forests, the Magic Kingdom and roller coasters, tiny villages, and the vast megalopolis of Orlando. From your perch, you'll get a new look at this vast development that has sprouted from the pastureland of central Florida, a man made maze that hides much of the region's original beauty. When your flight is over, you celebrate in the traditional balloonists way with a bottle of champagne, a picnic, and a flight certificate. Check the website for information on tours.
Par 58 Regular Tees: 3417 yards / Slope 82 This 1968 Joe Lee design is flat with fairways rimmed by pine trees. It's greens are quite small and elevated above the fairways. The rolling greens are also protected by a number of sand traps. Of the four par-4s, two measure 370 to 380 yards. The par-3s run from 108 to 188 yards. All things considered, this is a pleasant and well-thought-out executive course open to the public. Metal spikes are tolerated but not encouraged.
The narrow fairways at Ventura are bordered by houses. You'll be treated to lots of sand. Water comes into play on all but a few holes. This very short course demands precision rather than strength. Several of the par-4s are well under 300 yards. The par-5s are all at 500 yards or less. There are two reasonably long par-3s. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only.
Opened in December '03, David Harman designed, this par-72 (7,205 yard) championship golf course featuring undulating fairways and interconnected waterways. Bordered by a natural backdrop of dense oaks and pines, Rosen Shingle Creek Golf Club lies along historic Shingle Creek headwaters to the Florida Everglades, providing an ideal and unforgettable golf experience. Delight in the serene-to-extreme waters in the gigantic double wave pools and soak in the sun (or the cooling shade) on the white sand beach.
