Deko Lounge, conveniently situated across from the campus of the University of Central Florida in east Orlando, provides the college crowd a hip place to hang out. This large, brightly lit Puerto Rican eatery features delicacies flavored with garlic, cilantro and popular island spices. Pechuga al Ajillo, a boneless grilled chicken breast, is served with fried green plantains, a culinary mainstay of Caribbean islands with Spanish heritage. Tripleta de Mariscos features a mélange of seafood, including conch, octopus and shrimp. At dessert, a 'three-milk cake' is the must-have treat. After the kitchen closes on Thursday through Saturday, you can shake that booty to the sounds of live salsa music as the restaurant becomes a nightclub.

House mixes and hip hop are the music of choice. One dollar drinks are available on Tuesdays. Casual wear is not allowed, although jeans are permitted occasionally. Upstairs, there's a VIP area for members only. Those above 18 are allowed, although 21-and-above is the age requirement.

With the DJ's spinning some awesome music, this place is mostly over-crowded on weekends. Spread over an area of 14,000 square feet, this club also features a spacious outdoor patio, where you can chill out with friends and family. The Majestic Theater and Lounge located at this nightclub hosts some of the best live music concerts, plays and theater performances.
While yellow remains the stand-out color for the lighting, the subtle use of pink and green in its seating and decor makes this nightclub aptly named as Peacock Lounge. Drinks are always available and the music, be it live or through a DJ, remains the lounge's ultimate drawing point. Opened in 2001, the club has soon grown to be a firm favorite amongst Orlando natives, winning various awards for its martini and gallery on show.
Sporting a warm and an informal atmosphere, Uncle Lou's Entertainment Hall, is a dive bar that is frequented by the locals throughout the week. Featuring a well-stocked bar that serves the choicest variety of drinks, this bar hosts live music concerts. The evenings could not have been more entertaining and fun-filled.
Situated in the heart of Orlando, it is hard to miss this brightly colored urban tearoom that serves an incredible selection of organic teas and vegan dishes. This former bungalow has been converted to a very hip and hippie-influenced work of art. Local artists and bands perform here, and they host many other crucial community events throughout the month. Their menu offers true vegan and vegetarian dishes created from local organic and other high-quality ingredients. The interior is divided into three very multicolored and mismatched groupings of tables and chairs, though many enjoy the pleasant outside seating available. The menu here changes monthly, but the food is always good. Casually dressed patrons sit at barstools that are pulled up to butcher-block tables atop terrazzo floors. The decor is simple but effective for casual dining. Choices include Caesar's Salad, a roasted duck sandwich, and a Chicken Tortilla Pie, among other intriguing combinations. Pastas and salads come in full or half portions for hearty or picky eaters. Dexter's offers more than 30 wines and champagnes, available by the glass or bottle. A very nice Chardonnay runs about $26 for a bottle.
