Gifted with a rich natural heritage, abundant coal reserves, splendid flora and fauna and a remarkable history, the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve attracts hordes of visitors from all over the world, year after year. Explore the woodsy areas, or take a stroll in one of the glades and experience the true beauty of nature at this preserve. If you are lucky, you will come upon relics of the Native Americans who had made this place their home. Explore the scenic terrains of the area by setting up camps along the hills or simply enjoy the beauty of the barnyards, and be amazed by what used to be a cattle ranch. Take an extensive tour of the region and you will discover that the preserve was once a rich avenue for sand mining, as well.
