Prolific for her emotive, soft rock ballads, Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer/songwriter and musician from Halifax, Nova Scotia. With the release of her debut album Touch, in 1988, she first exposed her evocative mezzo-soprano voice and poignant songwriting to broad audiences, earning critical and commercial acclaim in the process. She rose to international attention with her 1997 record, Surfacing, which features the iconic piano rock hit "Angel." With an impressive catalog of records under her name, McLauchlan has solidified herself as a pop icon with each new release, including her 2014 LP, Shine On. In addition her work as an artist, through which she has been a steady activist for the advancement and fair treatment of women in entertainment, she is a devout philanthropist who has dedicated her time to various outreach programs, such as the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and numerous disaster relief campaigns.

When the laid-back, Philadelphia hip-hop/blues band G. Love & Special Sauce entered its second decade, the group's eponymous front-man embarked on a singer-songwriter oriented solo project. Shedding much of his main gig's hip-hop vibe in favor of an easygoing pop sensibility, G. Love released a string of well-received albums that bear much of the thumbprint of some of his high profile adult alternative collaborators like Jack Johnson and the Avett Brothers.

Holland   Mr. Jeffrey B. Holland has been Executive Director of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District since June of 2005. Mr. Holland is responsible for the general management and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. In this capacity, he enjoys the opportunity to work with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Commission and the Districts employees to be the best fiduciaries possible in operating, maintaining, and preserving the largest bridge and tunnel in the world that is located in the most tumultuous marine environment for surface transportation in the world.   Mr. Holland graduated from the College of William and Mary in its 300th graduating class with his accounting degree. He is an active member in the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, Government Finance Officers Association, and the Design-Build Institute of America.   The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is a modern engineering wonder. Crossing over and under open waters where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, the Bridge-Tunnel provides a direct link between Southeastern Virginia and the Delmarva Peninsula. The presentation will focus on the history of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, the original construction, the new Parallel Thimble Shoal Tunnel Project, and major ongoing maintenance and repair projects.    PDH Certificates will be Available!
