The city of Newport in the U.S. State of Kentucky is endowed with a renowned historic district in the name of the York Street Historic District. The construction of the district and the structures therein dates back to 1848. It is bequeathed with fine church sites and terrific buildings. Most of the structures in the district depict the Greek Revival, Late Victorian and the Late 19th and 20th Century Revival styles of architecture. The monumental district has paved its way to the National Register of Historic Places.
