Tahliah Barnett is a Gloucestershire native and artist who creates music under the moniker FKA Twigs. Born to a Jamaican father and a Spanish mother and raised in the rural countryside of England, she headed to London at age 17 to chase her dream of being a professional dancer. After some modest success, she took on her FKA Twigs moniker and turned her attention to music making. She self-released her debut record, simply titled EP1, in 2012, exposing her dark, dreamy and electronically-inclined R&B for the first time. After earning an international following through her colorful music videos, FKA Twigs dropped her first full-length effort, LP1, in 2014.
