This popular venue was established in 1928 by the University of Wisconsin
to provide a space where students can gather or the university can hosts college fests, alumni meet and similar other events. However, with its magnificent views of the adjoining lake and the casual ambiance, it became a hotspot for students. It hosts variety of events, the popular ones being the Annual UW Credit Union Summer Stage concert series, and Lakeside Cinema that is held every Monday throughout summer. And, if you thought that the events are restricted to summer, then winter makes way for ice skating and snowboarding competitions. The winter sees the iconic Terrace chairs being taken away and the tons of ice is added to convert the lake in to an ice rink. Though the Terrace has undergone several transformations over the period, it still manages to retain its charm, no matter how the weather is!
