Celebrated as one of the funniest musicals to grace Broadway in recent years, The Book of Mormon is a religious satire musical written by the Trey Park and Matt Stone, the creators of the famed animated South Park television series (1997-). The story follows two mismatched Mormon missionaries as they haphazardly attempt to bring Mormonism to the tribal peoples of Uganda, with hilarious and often enlightening results. The musical opened in 2011 and almost immediately gained the acclaim of critics and audiences who felt that The Book of Mormon achieves the trifecta of great music, plot and choreography that is found in all Broadway classics.

First coming on the scene during the 1990s, Swervedriver captured a British audience re-interpreting America's grunge movement in the burgeoning "shoegaze" scene. Gritty and psychedelic, Swervedriver's sound contained an edge representative of a major shift in Britain's music culture. Considered one of the most underrated bands of 1990s Britain, Swervedriver have maintained a loyal following that has kept the band performing into the 21st century.

Formed in 1967 under the original name Del McCoury and the Dixie Pals, the Nashville-based Del McCoury Band went through a steady progression of lineup changes, remaining fairly unknown until the 1980s, when the group officially became Del McCoury Band and added McCoury's two sons to the lineup. Rooted in bluegrass traditions, the group finally came to the public's attention after working with Steve Earle and its Grammy nomination. Since then, Del McCoury Band has incorporated more jam band stylings into its live performances and plays regularly with funk group The Lee Boys.
