»American Head Charge

March 03, 2015 9:00 PM

American Head Charge is an industrial metal band that developed a quick reputation for its violent performances upon its formation in 1997. After the band finished itsfirst tour as part of Ozzfest 2001, its powerful crossover thrash music was largely overshadowed by the mad antics it displayed on stage--starting bloody fist fights with audience members, firing weapons on stage and throwing dead animals into the crowd. American Head Charge eventually exiled itself from the road in order to get its affairs in order, and after a hiatus from 2009 to 2011, the group returned to the show circuit, this time allowing its forward-thinking nu metal to stand at the center of attention.

»Elvis Costello - Solo

March 03, 2015 8:00 PM

Part of the original British new wave movement, Elvis Costello is a renowned singer/songwriter and guitarist from London. After achieving moderate success in London's pub rock scene in the early 1970s, Costello shifted into the punk and new wave scene with his 1977 debut album, My Aim Is True. As his sound continued to develop with elements of soul, country, classical and pop music, Costello eventually found his signature style that would go on to make him one of the more recognizable acts to emerge out of England in the 1980s. From his 1979 album Armed Forces, to 2002's When I Was Cruel, Costello has been praised for his sharp songwriting skills and lyrically complex music that has been dubbed "encyclopedia pop."

March 03, 2015 9:00 PM

Los Angeles-based band Milo Greene is a five-piece indie folk outfit that began making music in 2009. Though there is no one in the band named Milo Greene, the quartet created the fictional character to act as its virtual manager and describe him as an entrepreneur and intellectual. The band developed its ethereal cinematic sound was during periods of isolation spend in various desolate locations on the West Coast where it was free from television, internet and all media sources. Milo Greene recorded its eponymous debut in a barn located outside of Seattle and released the album in 2012, demonstrating a wide-eyed but experienced style with four-part harmonies, no lead singer and cascading sections of percussion.

»New Madrid w/ Fake Plants

March 03, 2015 8:00 PM

New Madrid is a neo-psychedelic rock band that owns a textured, murky sonic aesthetic. After releasing its 2012 debut album Yardboat, the four-piece outfit collected both critical and commercial acclaim in the greater surrounding areas of its hometown of Athens, GA. With each tour, New Madrid expanded its reach into national audiences, particularly after the experimentally-minded LP, Sunswimmer. Dousing its underwater psych with experimental leanings, the band dropped the sophomore LP in 2014 with the local independent imprint Normaltown Records.
