Known for its red clay, one-mile track, The Red Mile is the second oldest harness track in the world. For over 130 years, harness racing's elite have converged on The Red Mile to stage some of the greatest equine battles in history. In addition to each year's showcase horse racing, The Red Mile simulcasts 365 days a year and hosts numerous horse sales, wedding receptions, holiday parties, concerts, circuses, reunions, corporate meetings and many more events.
One of the most prominent sports facilities at the University of Kentucky, the Commonwealth Stadium is the home venue for the university's football team, the Kentucky Wildcats. The stadium opened 1973 with a massive capacity of 57800, and has grown to 67606, to accommodate its growing legion of supporters. The stadium has hosted many memorable games, and the home team's impeccable wining record at the venue has only made it special. The stadium has undergone numerous renovations over the years and boasts of modern facilities including a press box, swanky VIP areas as well as private booths. The Red Mile is among the nation's prominent harness tracks and the city's oldest racetrack. Established in 1875, it is named after the track's red clay. The complex consists of a Round Barn, Clubhouse, Paddock Park and Tattersalls apart from the racing avenue.
Bring your dogs and kids for a fun day of contests, raffles, frisbee dog & obedience demos, and live bluegrass music by The Blue Dawg. This event is a fundraiser for the Bluegrass Animal Welfare League.
The Racetrack is operate by the Keeneland Association, with track length of one and 1/16th mile or 1710 meters.

The space can accommodate up to 23,000 people. The venue is home to Wildcats - the basketball team. Sound and light systems are high-tech and ample parking space is available. Housed within the arena is ‘The Heart', which was conceived after a popular demand for a medium sized space to hold concerts and meetings. This section holds from 2,300-10,000 people.
