    October 21, 2014 6:15 PM

Formed outside of Oakland, CA in 1992 by a few guys who like to drink beer, play hard rock and head bang - Machine Head has gone on to be one of the more innovative modern heavy metal bands with an inventive instrumental approach and florid stage show. Though the group has experienced a number of line up changes since its inception, the group still knows how to rock out and the band's live shows are testament to this.

    »The Turn Of The Screw

    October 21, 2014 7:30 PM

A governess battles to defend two children from possession by evil spirits in a lonely manor house, but are the ghosts real or a product of her own fevered imagination? In this critically acclaimed adaptation of the classic Henry James story by playwright and screenwriter Jeffrey Hatcher ("Stage Beauty", "Three Viewings"), two actors bring all of the characters to life. Jennifer Vance plays the eager young governess, determined to protect the children in her care at all costs. Martin Hughes takes on the rest of the characters of the story, from the children's distant uncle, to the estate's housekeeper, to the troubled 10-year-old boy. The production will be directed by Keith Gerth, Oil Lamp Theater's founder and artistic director.

    »The Capitol Steps

    October 22, 2014 7:30 PM

Capitol Steps is an American political satire troupe that was originally formed by a group of Congressional staffers who began performing throughout Washington, D.C. in 1981. During the Reagan Administration, Capitol Steps captured an audience as it began spoofing American politics, primarily through the medium of song parodies. As the group's parodies started reaching further across the US, Capitol Steps went on to release over 30 albums in addition to its various television appearances and tours thematically centered on the current presidential administration.

    »The King and I

    October 22, 2014 1:00 PM

Set in 1862 Bangkok, a British schoolteacher named Anna Leonowens works as a tutor for the children of the King of Siam. In this dramatic musical, the tutor's liberal and modern ideas repeatedly clash with the authoritarian style of the King. Furthermore, the relationship between Britain and Siam may be at risk without Anna's help. Famous songs from The King and I include "Getting to Know You," and "I Whistle a Happy Tune."
