The University of Missouri--oftenaffectionatelyreferredto as Mizzou or MU--is a public research university located Columbia, Missouri. Since being founded in 1839, the school has done much to progress academia. The sports teams that play for the school are the Missouri Tigers and they play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I. The name comes from a group of armed militia men called the Missouri Tigers, who guarded Columbia from Confederate soldiers in 1864 during the Civil War.

Loretta Lynn
Harrah's Cherokee Casino ResortApril 11, 2015 7:30 PM
777 Casino Drive
Cherokee, NC 28719
Born to a coal mining family in rural Kentuckey in the early 1930s, Loretta Lynn married at the age of 13 and had children shortly thereafter. After helping rear her children for a period of time, Lynn's husband gave her a guitar for her 24th birthday. Always having a deep rooted connection, it was this six-stringed present that motivated Lynn to concentrate on actually taking the time and putting the effort that is necessary into writing heartfelt songs. She released her first album, Loretta Lynn Sings, in 1963 and it was met with favorable reception by critics and the American general listening public. Since her formative days in the music industry the 1960s, Lynn has managed to experience ebbs and flows of success, most recently releasing a 2004 album that was produced by Jack White.

Utah Opera Theatre: The Magic Flute
Bijou TheatreApril 12, 2015 2:30 PM
803 South Gay Street
Knoxville, TN 37902
Also known as Die Zauberflöte, The Magic Flute is the penultimate opera of Viennese composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and is considered to be one of his greatest achievements. Despite the opera's light, almost fairy tale-like exterior, The Magic Flute is a fantastical allegory based heavily in Masonic symbolism and Enlightenment philosophy, with music that is considered to be some of the more sophisticated compositions of the time. The opera is also considered to have contributed to the popularization of singspiel, or a sung-through form of theater. The Magic Flute became immediately popular when it premiered in Vienna in 1791, and its popularity has only grown since then, particularly for its most recognizable aria, "Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen."
