DB Milne Field is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose stadium on the Jacksonville University campus. The field is home to the Jacksonville Dolphins football team.
The Swisher Theater, located at The Jacksonville University opened its doors to much fanfare in January 2007. The theater is a state-of-the-art teaching and performance center. Swisher Gymnasium which is a 1,500 seat multi-functional sports facility in Jacksonville is an ideal location for sport enthusiasts. This arena is the home turf of the Jackson University's women's basketball team. The arena also hosts a multitude of music events as well.
The Ritz Theatre is home to gospel, jazz, other entertainment and nightlife. Community theater and film are also featured. The neighboring LaVilla Museum has more than 11,000 square feet of exhibit space and is home to art and artifacts from several African nations, as well as photographs by Aaron Mervin, paintings, ceramics and other visual arts. Local African-American artists' works are featured each year during Black History Month in February at this cultural arts center.
The only professional dance company in Jacksonville, this not-for-profit group of talented dancers performs a subscription series each year at the Florida Theatre (The), located downtown off I-95 and Main Street. The much-loved performance of the Nutcracker Suite is a favorite during the holiday season in December. If you are an aspiring ballerina or dancer, inquire about their professional training program called Florida Ballet II. The season begins in late October and ends in April, with an occasional summer performance. Florida Theatre seats up to 2,000 people.
The Jacksonville city in the U.S. State of Florida is bequeathed with an array of historical sites, the Young Men's Hebrew Association stands as a prominent site among them. The organization dates back to 1854, and was basically established to help the Jewish areas.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Florida Theatre was originally designed for both stage shows and motion pictures, and is now home to concerts, dance, plays, opera and film, as well as community-sponsored events such as lectures, private parties, conferences and corporate meetings. The theatre reflects the theme of a Moorish courtyard at night, with stars overhead, balconies, and trickling fountains. This impressive building with 42-foot high Doric columns, 75-foot barrel-vaulted ceilings and handsome marble floors was once the nation's largest railway station. Restored and renovated, it now hosts meetings and conventions of varying sizes, including traveling shows, corporate and charity events. The 265,000 square feet (24619.3 square meters) of space boasts fully equipped kitchens and banquet facilities that can serve up to 3,000, with 22 separate rooms able to accommodate groups of up to 1,000. Plenty of lodging is close by, as well as a variety of dining and entertainment facilities at Jacksonville Landing.

Constructed in 2003, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena is a 16,000 seat multi-purpose venue. In addition to being an indoor sports stadium, it was specifically designed using state-of-the-art techniques to provide optimal acoustics for concerts. This venue has hosted numerous musical headliners and major sporting events. It is also the home of the Jacksonville University Dolphins men's basketball team.
