    September 04, 2014 9:00 PM

Nikki Hill is a singer/songwriter from Durham, North Carolina whose characteristic roots-rock musical style have impressed many who've listened to her songs. Drawing inspiration from pioneers to the folk and blues genres, Hill is able to fill her music with an astonishing amount of emotions, heart on sleeve wisdom and various tidbits of sage advice, in addition to complex, blues-inspired instrumental accompaniments. In 2012, Hill released her debut album and went on her first major tour, helping turn that period of time into somewhat of a break out year for the musician.

    »Larry and His Flask

    September 25, 2014 10:00 PM

Larry and His Flask is a folk rock/indie punk band from Oregon that was founded in 2003 by brothers Jamin and Jesse Marshall. What started off as a sweat and beer-soaked punk rock band slowly turned its focus to creating melodies, and with the addition of guitarist Dallin Bulkley, mandolin player Kirk Skatvold and banjo player Andrew Carew, Larry and His Flask honed its sound into aggressive indie rock with echoes of country and folk music. The band's multiple-part harmonies pair nicely with its punk undertones, resulting in raucous but substantial live shows. In 2005, Larry and His Flask released its debut album The Lost Seamen, a record in high contrast to the band's 2011 effort, All That We Know. The album exemplifies the band's transformation from punk rock kids into folk, indie, and punk-inspired craftsmen.
