    Since it opened in 1992, Millis Athletic and Convocation Center has been a premier athletics facility both on campus and off. Considered one of the best sports facilities in the Big South Conference, this center has played host to some important sports events, like the Big South Women's Basketball Tournament and Big South Men's Basketball Tournament. Besides sports, the center also plays host to regional and community events, and has also hosted former President George W Bush when he came to the city in 2002.
