Built in 1850 this ornately designed antebellum home is one of the last remaining examples of its kind in Baton Rouge. Located on the Highland Road, the splendid estate also features two pretty gazebos and a beautiful fountain, thus providing the background for most charming private events in the community. Used primarily for romantic weddings, the Mount Hope Plantation can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Artisans will demonstrate skills that were used on Louisiana plantations and farms during harvest time in the 1800's. These include harvesting, hunting, corn grinding, soap making, and open hearth cooking. The annual Rural Life Harvest Days will take place September 24 & 25, 2011.

Popularly known as The Tigers, the home team have a record of winning more evening games than any other. So, it's proven...Cats do see better at night! The stadium is choc-a-bloc with activity.
