Situated on the banks of Paranoá Lake, the Acoustic Shell is an open stage for all kinds of performing arts presentations. The structure has the capacity to hold up to 5000 people. Although it was officially inaugurated in 1969, the first show presented there was actually organized two years before, a presentation of the Rio de Janeiro City Ballet. The shell has also been the stage of the first two years of the most important rock festival in Brasilia, Porão do Rock. The entrance fees vary depending on each specific event. It's advisable to get there early on concert days due to traffic and parking.
