Spend an eventful evening at the Colorado Biology Teachers Association Winter Social being held at the Denver Downtown Aquarium on Saturday, January 28.  Come in at 5:30pm and socialize with fellow biology teachers before walking along the paths of "North American Wilderness" and "Rainforests of the World" and experiencing the diversity of the plants and animals inhabiting the freshwater, marine and terrestrial ecosystems along the way. After returning from the exhibits enjoy a dinner buffet in the Nautilus Ballroom before the evening program begins.  Renowned longtime birders Hugh and Urling Kingery will present "Birds of Colorado", complete with pictures and anectodes about Colorado's rich diversity of our feathered friends.  This very special evening has been arranged for the cost of $35.00 per person.

In AP Computer Science, students will learn the fundamentals of computer science using the Java programming language. Java is a modern, object-oriented programming language used to create professional software. The course will explore systematic problem-solving strategies that can be applied to real world problems. The focus will be first on programming basics and then on writing full classes and the logic and structures around building them. This is the equivalent of an introductory college-level programming class and will prepare students for the May 7, 2015 AP exam. After the exam, the Android App Development will start. This is a 3 month course set for June and July. Also includes online classes, videos, and online quizzes and help.
