Formerly known as the Bear Field, the Smith Field is an airport that features 236 acres of land. Restoration work in 2003 equipped this 13,000 seat arena with state-of-the art facilities. New Republic Skatepark on East State Street opens its door for skating sessions on most days of the week. Built by a group of volunteers, the skatepark is where the amateur skaters go through the drill of honing their skill on ramps and by dodging the obstacles. St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and School is located in downtown Fort Wayne. It belongs to the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod that was founded in 1837. The present cathedral, constructed in 1889, is an architectural marvel. Illustrating the Gothic style, it features stained-glass panels, religious statues, an ornate altar and a grand tower topped with a spire.
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic cathedral. The church was built in 1860 and is one of the foremost churches of the city. It was incorporated in the National Register of Historical Places in 1980, and continues to strive for the community.
Nestled in the bustling downtown area of the Fort Wayne city, the Trinity Episcopal Church is a constant reminder of the city's glorious past and religious legacy. Since 160 years, the church has been serving the community and spreading the message of the Lord. Built in 1866, the church building is adorned with many historic fixtures including the stained glass windows. This historic church hosts variety of religious events and social functions throughout the year. Workshops for youth, special programs for children, choir concerts and similar activities are a regular feature here.
Garrett Historic District is located in Garrett, Indiana. The district has well-preserved historical buildings which include the Garrett City Hall, the old Masonic Temple, Silver Screen Theater, and so on. The streetscape is dominated by Greek Revival, Italianate, and Bungalow-Craftsman styles of architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 6, 1983.
The St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a historic church located in Hicksville, Ohio. This Carpenter Gothic style structure was designed by Bishop Joseph Cruickshank Talbot and built by Alfred Peck Edgerton in 1873. The church features a steep gable roof and a gabled porch, in addition to a small rose window. Today, the Hicksville Historical Society looks after the church and it can be rented for weddings and other events.
