Savannas Recreation Area is where you should head to if you’re looking for adventure and excitement or even some quiet time with nature. Sprawled across over 500 acres of biologically rich land, the park is a campers haven. The park is perfect for boating, fishing, bird-watching, picnics, hiking and more. There are also a number of vegetation taking root in the park, which also nest a variety of wildlife. Run by the St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation Department, the nature reserve is a beautiful unadulterated park area. There are camping areas and other facilities for people to engage in while they experience nature. Call ahead for details.

»Wanamaker Course

Very few courses in Florida can match the beauty of the Wanamaker Course here in Port Saint Lucie. The lush green wetlands, swaying palm trees and the gentle breeze will make the play very pleasurable. It's a happening place, and you can check out the website to know which tournaments are taking place here and who is playing against whom. You can also sharpen your golfing skills by joining the Golf School here. The PGA Village around the Wanamaker Course has suitable venues for corporate meetings and events where work can be combined with fun and sport.

»The Ryder Course

The Ryder Course, named after Samuel Ryder who founded the Ryder Cup, is surrounded by gentle sloping hills with beautiful pine trees that make the game more enjoyable. One can find a good combination of plain green surfaces spaced by lakes and followed by slopes. The hole locations here vary a lot and make teeing very challenging. Besides this there is also a golf shop. For those who are new to the sport can take lessons at the golf school here.

»PGA Golf Club: North Course

The South Course is pure Florida with sharply sloped greens and tricky doglegs set against a backdrop of wetlands, palm trees and palmettos. A sprawling sub-tropical links with a bold swashbuckling personality built on the grandest scale imaginable. The North Course, with its rolling hills, majestic pine trees and challenging water hazards, this course has a distinctive Carolina-feel. Lots of rolls lead to 4-5 different pin placements. You could play this course every day and find a different layout. The putting surfaces feature deep swales and knobs for dramatic putting. A wide variety of holes, from long par 5s to sporty par 3s.

Audubon Signature course. Sprwaling subtropical links with a bold personality with pure Floridian feel. »PGA Golf Club: Dye Course

The PGA Golf Club in West Palm Beach County is one of the most reputed golf clubs of the world, offering some delightful golf courses. The Dye Course was designed by Pete Dye and is a beautiful 18-hole course. You feel like you are playing the British Open, while winding your way around the pot bunkers and knock-down friendly greens. However, upon missing the fairway, you will instantaneously be moved to the Arizona desert. Once on the greens, you will face undulating and fairly quick putts. »Island Pines Golf Club

Situated in the city of Fort Pierce, Island Pines Golf Club, has been popular among the locals since it opened in 1971. The 18 hole golf course has witnessed several golf tournaments and is also open all year to the public. Designed by Arthur Young, this golf course is spread over 6440 yards and also features rental carts and a golf shop. A haven for golf lovers, this club is definitely worth a visit.

»The Moorings Club

This lovely executive-length course has a good deal of water. It complicates holes from start to finish. There is also more sand at Moorings Club than is commonly found on an executive course. The lone par-5 is only 440 yards. The par-4s measure from 260 to 383 yards. The par-3s are from 89 to 163 yards. This is a private golf course. Soft spikes only.

The par is 72. Championship Tees are 6589 yards and the slope is 132. Medal Tees are 6175 yards and the slope is 124. Middle Tees are 5904 yards and the slope is 119. Standard Tees are 5470 yards and the slope is 112. Forward Tees are 5148 yards and the slope is 110. Vero Beach Country Club was conceived by Herbert Strong in 1924. Charles Ankrom redesigned the layout in 1985. Mature trees grace many holes. The final hole is a short but frightening par-3. The par-5s are short, with only one more than 500 yards. The par-3s range from 131 to 181 yards. There are also two long par-4s, but the rest are between 350 and 380 yards from the Blue tees. This is a private golf course. Soft spikes only.

»Vista Plantation Golf Club

The par is 62. Blue Tees are 3657 yards and the slope is 104. White Tees are 3458 yards and the slope is 103. Red Tees are 3143 yards and the slope is 99. This 1985 Arthur Hills-designed course has 17 holes with a water hazard. The par-4 holes are often doglegs. There is also more sand than customary on an executive course. The par-4s top out at 338 yards from the Blue tees. The par-3s are from 97 to 165 yards. This is a semi-private golf course. Soft spikes only. Greens Fees are subject to change.
