Light music adds intimacy to this cozy spot that comes complete with candlelight and a cottage setting. Master Chef-owner Katherine Ewing was trained in France and creates such treasures as a chicken and pork liver pate, escargots, or Crabe Farci, a crabmeat cake served with assorted peppers and pineapple relish. Entrees might include Coquilles St Jacques a la Provençal or a catch of the day with an irresistible sauce.
The Palace Saloon is the oldest bar in Florida that still operates today! It dates back to 1903 and has seen the best and worst times of the 20th Century, not excluding the Prohibition Era, during which it doubled up as an ice cream joint. This bar and dance club retains its historic character with vintage interiors and has plenty of entertainment options. Locals might even tell you a story or two about ghosts who supposedly haunted the bar. Ocean 60 is a beautiful restaurant serving exciting contemporary fare with an Island dash. The menu is an inspiration from all the world travels the chef owner had taken and is like a tribute to them. Changing seasonally, the menu is vast and delectable. Offering a two in one dining experience, the main dining room is cozy and has a wine bar with Enrique Mora, a local artist's lovely paintings adorning the walls. The connecting Martini Room has a rich woody look with imported furnishings and local paintings on the walls, it is more like a rotating gallery as every quarter a new artist is represented here. Giving a different look to the room every time. While you enjoy an intimate dinner at the main room, the Martini Room is buzzing with live music from Thursday through Saturday along with fabulous food and great drinks.
