    »Jessica Hernandez and The Deltas

    July 09, 2014 9:00 PM

After getting her start in music singing cover songs and a handful of self-written, half-serious tunes about failed sexual encounters, Detroit-based artist Jessica Hernandez decided to take a real shot at music and formed the Deltas in 2009. She assembled a band and released her first EP, Too Many Clothes, in 2010, under the name Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas. With a sound that goes from catchy, uptempo tunes to more ballad-oriented slow jams, Hernandez and her band continue to churn out a distinctive brand of dark pop and neo soul.

Seating is limited, so put on your running shoes and run as fast as you can to get your tickets (then you can take them off once you take your seat at the Belmont Hotel). Check website for dates.

    »Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen

    July 09, 2014 8:00 PM

Wade Bowen, raised in Texas, released his debut album in 2002. He is often associated with the genre known as "red dirt," though Bowen has a grittier voice than most of the other artists in the category. Bowen doesn't try to hide his background or who he is: he doesn't wear a cowboy hat and he doesn't moan about being a country boy. Instead, Wade Bowen takes a more mature stance on country by observing the characters of his hometown and writing honest rock songs and ballads from these observations.
