The Dandy Warhols is an alternative rock band that was formed in Portland, Oregon in 1993. The group draws upon a number of different influences like garage rock and post-punk revival to create a sound that somehow manages to be both rudimentary and refined. Though the band's fame dwindled at the start of the new millennium, The Dandy Warhols still continues to tour and release 1990s style alt rock.

»Jorge Méndez Blake: Project for a Park Library (Aerial View Large)

    September 30, 2014 10:00 AM

Jorge Méndez Blake: Project for a Park Library (Aerial View Large) showcases a large vinyl print by Mexican artist Jorge Méndez Blake. The work imagines a park with mountains, lakes and oceans in the setting of a library with the different parts of the park divided by thin white lines created out of a wall of bookcases. The artist arranged the artwork like an enfolded piece of origami paper. The idea behind the print was to show culture act like an agent of democracy.

Half-Japanese musical wunderkind, Justin Nozuka, started writing and recording music when he was 15, while attending an international boarding school in Ontario, Canada. Nozuka brings his light R&B crooning voice and breezy pop sensibilities to his often painfully earnest singer/songwriter style odes to love and loss.
