Formerly known as the Concord Miller Park, this park comes equipped with facilities that ensure everyone finds something they want to do. Almost a history museum Primrose Farm depicts the life of the farmers' community. An open historic agricultural farm and preserved farm structures make it a perfect setting for visitors to participate in farming activities. The space allows families to explore garden plots, walking trails, picnic pavilions and playgrounds.
Fox River Bluff West is a dog park ideal for long walks along the Fox River. Dogs can be left unleashed here and can enjoy a dip in the cool waters. It is a park full of walking trails and grassy lanes.
Oaklawn Farm is a farm operated by the Dunham family. Originally the farm was spread over 1700 acres (690 hectares), but presently the property occupies only 56 acres (22.7 hectares). The Oaklawn Farm also has Dunham Castle, which is made with French chateau designs with modern American architectural trends. The house is made of bricks and sits on a foundation of Batavia stone. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 26, 1979.
Home to the various departments of the Hoffman Estates village government, the Village Hall is centrally located in the heart of the village. Besides being the center point of local government meetings, the hall also hosts small community events. Call for more information.
Built in 1843, the Durant House Museum was a house constructed in the Greek Revival style. Today it represents the Victorian Era with its ancient kitchen and bathroom furnishings. Group and private tours are offered.
Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve is a famous destination for a variety of recreational activities around the Ferson Creek. Cultural centers such as the Durant House Museum and Pioneer Sholes School are located within the vicinity. It is an ideal spot for group outings and family gatherings.
Creek Bend Nature Center exhibits interpretive displays which interest people of all age groups. Private rentals for parties, functions and business meetings are offered. They also provide guided hikes and permit self-guided programs.
