Led by guitarist Dirk Quinn, Dirk Quinn Band is Philadelphia-based band that fuses the sounds of jazz, funk and rock and roll. Growing up listening to the classic rock of Led Zeppelin and The Who before eventually discovering his affinity for Jazz, Quinn jumped around in various projects before releasing his own self titled debut album in 2007. After making the rounds on the night club and coffee house circuits, he surrounded himself with like-minded musicians to form the Dirk Quinn Band and embarked on a proper tour of North America. With its jazz/funk improvisation and rock edge, the Dirk Quinn Band has been praised for both its rhythmic experimentation and melodic sensibilities.
