    »Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum

    This museum occupies Hangar Number One on Lowry Campus, formerly known as the Lowry Air Force Base. Here, visitors can view 31 aircraft, from a World War II Corsair to the B1A Bomber. The museum also houses extensive exhibits on the history of Lowry Air Force Base, World Wars I and II, former President Dwight D. Eisenhower and even the Hubbell Telescope. A display on the science of flight includes a space station simulator.

    Devoted to all things on wheels, this Denver museum features a collection of over 500 trains, cars, motorcycles, bicycles and other rare automobiles.     »Pearce-McAllister Cottage

    The Pearce-McAllister Cottage is a monumental site in the City Park West vicinity of Denver in Colorado. Constructed in the year 1900, the site is a historical house museum. It is a massive representation of the Dutch Colonial Revival style of architecture. Encompassing a land cover of 0.3 acres (0.12 hectares), the site is home to the Denver Museum of Miniature Dolls and Toys. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the year 1972.

    Crash 45 is a versatile venue that puts on many hats and is successful at everything that it tries out. A restaurant/bar that also doubles up as an art gallery is fast gaining popularity. The funky lighting system and generous use of red and bright golden colors all over the place adds a lively vibe to it. Designed by Shane Evans, Crash 45 is made from recycled and old stuff including parts of old trucks, bicycles and vintage bikes, that further adds to its coolness quotient. Its menu is a typical pub fare including dishes like Asian Dan Wings, burgers and so forth. And last but not the least are the unique events hosted here; motorcycle nights, art openings, DJ sessions and other events are a regular feature here.     If you are looking for authentic works of art from the southwest, West SouthWest is the place to go. Located in Cherry Creek, this posh gallery offers contemporary and traditional fine arts and crafts, as well as furniture and home accessories. Examples include seriographs by John Nieto, as well as jewelry by Ray Tracey and Colorado's U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell. While most of the art is traditional southwest in style, a lot of the work has a contemporary edge to it.

    21st Century Art Consultants, which has been in the Cherry Creek North area for over 20 years, displays a diverse collection of painting, limited edition prints, sculpture, jewelry and ceramics. Although it primarily features work by Colorado artists, the gallery also shows art from acclaimed national and international artists. The paintings lean towards impressionistic and abstract and are bold with color. It is a pleasant place to wander around, especially during a weekend shopping spree.
