A representation of the quintessential indie rock band coming out of the aughts, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah makes jangly, danceable music overlaid with frontman Alec Ounsworth's slightly awkward, but endearing, vocals. Formed in 2004 after members of the Brooklyn-based band met at Connecticut College, the five-piece slowly began building an underground fan base, but received a fair amount of mainstream attention for its single "Satan Said Dance," which appeared in multiple movie and television trailers. While the group's momentum slowed a bit as the decade progressed and Ounsworth focused on side bands and a solo project, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah still maintains a devoted fan base and tours occasionally.

California Bay Area-based band Rings of Saturn is a deathcore band that was formed in 2009 while its members were still in high school. With a sound that bridges technical death metal with progressive metal, the band self-released its debut album,Embryonic Anomaly, in 2010 and quickly earned the attention of Unique Leader Records, who offered the band a recording contract. After its members graduated from school, Rings of Saturn embarked on its first few tours, collecting a following and re-releasing its debut LP along the way. Though the band suffered several lineup changes, leaving guitarist Lucas Mann as the only remaining founder, Rings of Saturn continues to release records such as 2013's Dingir, expanding its fan base with its fast-paced guitar stylings and extreme heavy metal sound.

Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

    1100 13th Street
    Denver, CO 80204
Based on a story of Joseph found in the Bible's Book of Genesis, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical theater production and the first Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice collaboration to be staged for a public audience in 1968. The family-friendly, sung-through show has become a world-wide hit, having been performed on all levels of theater from schools to community theaters since its debut in the West End in 1973 and on Broadway in 1982. The show follows the Biblical story of Joseph, a prophet whose brightly colored coat was given to him to show his father's favor. Driven by jealously, his brothers sell him as a slave and falsely proclaim his death. Though he endures several hardships, Joseph eventually makes his way back home with the help of a spirit he sees in his dreams.
