March 31, 2015 7:30 PM

Adapted from the beloved Disney film, The Lion King is a musical theater production that tells the story of a lion named Simba whose life takes an unexpected turn after his father, King Mufasa, dies at the hands of Simba's power-hungry uncle, Scar. Unable to deal with the tragedy at such a young age, Simba runs away from home believing that he is responsible for his father's death. When a chance encounter with an old friend reminds him of the importance of family and his responsibility to the rest of the lion pride, he finally returns home and faces the truth about his uncle's part in his father's death. Packed full of the film's renowned songs, including "Circle of Life," Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," The Lion King quickly garnered critical and commercial acclaim for its visually stunning rendition of the classic story.

April 01, 2015 8:00 PM

Tonight your side-splitting laughter will benefit Sideshow X. The Dayton Sideshow is in its 10th year of showcasing local art and music free to the community. Its a 2-day festival that has featured over 40 artists and as many as 40 musicians, along with comedy, live podcasts, and performance art all from the Dayton area. All the beer sold is from local breweries and we are proud to have the support of food trucks as well. The money raised tonight goes toward funding the event to keep it free for the community. Vincent Holiday will be the emcee for the evening, with stand up comedy from Michael Garza Semple, Mike Canestero, Aaron Phillips, Travis Clyburn, and Aaron Evans. Lofty Aspirations improv will keep the laughter going, and whether you are ready for it or not, Dip Spit will close the night out. »Walk The Moon

April 01, 2015 7:00 PM

Cincinnati, Ohio band Walk The Moon is an indie pop band of the highest order. An unabashed aesthetic of fun with a carefree attitude, Walk The Moon have the dance-punk energy of a group like The Killers and the optimism of OK Go. It's not clear if the band's aspirations are as pop as they sound, but it seems to be wedded closely to its artsy, indie roots enough to stay away from commercialism.
