Presented by "Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection", this special event -- hosted by insightful Disney archivists and the D23 Team -- shines a well-deserved spotlight on a number of treasured characters, theme park attractions, films, TV shows and more, all of which are celebrating significant anniversaries this year, like Donald Duck's 80th. Some of the other landmark favorites include: "The Lion King, The Little Mermaid", the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, Disney's Hollywood Studios, "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad", "Haunted Mansion" and many more. Following the presentation, you'll have the chance to see and photograph two very rare items from the Disney archives: a hat worn by Julie Andrews in "Mary Poppins" and a rare statuette known as a "Duckster" award, one of which was proudly displayed in Walt's office.

    1071 Piedmont Avenue
    Atlanta, GA 30309
Music Midtown is an annual festival that features mainstream as well as alternative rock. Some hip hop artists are also featured. The event has a distinguished history--from 1994 to 2005 Midtown was a staple of the Atlanta festival season, with attendance in its best years rising up to 300,000. The 2011 edition, the first after a six-year break, was much smaller in scale, but still successful. The event is growing, so its achievements might yet be repeated.

The Dinner Detective Interactive Murder Mystery Show
Atlanta Marriott Suites MidtownSeptember 20, 2014 6:50 PM
    35 Fourteenth Street Northeast
    Atlanta, GA 30309
Could you be dining with a killer? Named "Best Dinner Show" in Los Angeles and Denver for four years running, "The Dinner Detective" now comes to Atlanta to serve up a tasty whodunit along with a four-course sit-down dinner and a commemorative mug to take home. And since this comedic murder mystery is set in the present day, you'll have no way of knowing whether someone at your table is just another guest or one of the talented cast of improvisers. In fact, everyone's a suspect -- including you! The event starts out with a reception featuring tray-passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by the meal, which includes salad, an entree and dessert. Between courses you can expect plenty of murder, mayhem and hidden clues coming to light as you puzzle through the crime. The top sleuth even wins a prize package at the end of the evening -- not to mention serious bragging rights.
