The Landmark Inn welcomes it's visitors to step into this beautiful historic inn and experience the history of Texas. With a comfort that it offers in the stay and the fine breakfast meals, the site also offers a look of the serene and tranquil gardens around and also enjoy the Medina River for the recreational opportunities.
The Republic of the Rio Grande Museum is an interesting place offering insights into the history of Laredo. The museum is also home to a number of articles and paraphernalia belonging to the residents of the then Republic of the Rio Grande.
Land Heritage Institute is a museum that is owned and manged by the Land Heritage Foundation. Its mission is to preserve and nurture the existing archaeological resources along the River Medina and surrounding areas. The land itself is worth exploring to gain insight into the cultural, historical and social aspects of human habitat. It comprises Presnall Watson Farm, Los Caminos Naturales and LHI Equestrian Center. Though there is no entry fee for individual visitors, donations are welcome. For more details, call ahead.
