Tackling illegal immigration and America's skewed perceptions of body image, "Real Women Have Curves" remains just as polarizing today as it was when it premiered over two decades ago. The story follows Ana, a young Mexican-American teen who's torn between following the career path laid down by her seamstress mother and pursuing her own dream of becoming a journalist. Along the way, she navigates issues of self-image while dealing with the plight of the undocumented friends and family members that populate her life. See the play, performed in Spanish with English supertitles, at Lawrenceville's Aurora Theatre as part of the Harvel Lab Series.

This event is on the rooftop for FREE for all ages.Geronimo Getty started, like so many things do, on the side. Initially, the project served as songwriter Aaron Kyle’s outlet for songs that didn’t fit the sound of his rock band, Le Switch. When that outfit disbanded in 2012, Kyle turned his focus to Geronimo Getty, penning songs inspired by the directness he heard on records by Steve Earle, Guy Clark, and John Prine.“They’re song people,” Kyle says. “They write stories about people’s lives, their own lives. Those are the people that I tend to gravitate towards.”

RAIN - The Beatles Experience is a Beatles tribute show based in New York City that evolved from a California-based club band called Reign, one of the West Coast's most popular and sought after Beatles cover bands in the 1970s. Although the band had no connection to the popular Beatlemania Broadway show, the members of Reign would later recruit some performers from the Broadway production for their own show RAIN in the 1980s. After nearly two decades of performances throughout the world, RAIN - The Beatles Experience is still generally considered to be one of the best Beatles tribute acts showing on Broadway today.
