Located on the far edge of German Village, Plank's serves up hot pizza pies and cold drinks to a platoon of locals every day. They do a fair amount of delivery business as well, but the neighborhood atmosphere makes for a nice place to sit and stay awhile. The space is an ancient brick building that itself kind of looks like a big overgrown pizza furnace. Inside, lighting is dim and spirits are high. Be it lunch hour or happy hour, a gaggle of regulars occupy spots at the bar jawing, imbibing and chowing. Pizzas are big and hearty, just like everything on the menu.
