»Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site

A heavy indicator that this historical center offers an authentic experience can be gauged by the simple fact that it offers sarsaparilla as a beverage. »Cadet Chapel

The Cadet Chapel, part of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs is a multi-religious center that is known best for its precise architecture. Made of hundred identical tetrahedrons of aluminum and glass, it has a spectacular display of kaleidoscopic colors on the inside, due to the effect of sunlight on the windows. There are 17 spires that rise to a height of 150 feet (46 meters). It consists of Protestant, Jewish, Catholic and Buddhist worship rooms. There is a Falcon Room for pagan followers while the  All-Faiths Room accommodates other religions.

»America the Beautiful Park

Named after Kathryn Lee Bates' poem, the park is a sprawling property with trails, manicured lawns, 40-foot tall obelisks and other installations. America the Beautiful Park overlooks Pikes Peak and at night the obelisks glow. The park is also popular for those interested in UFO sightings. Scores of visitors come with transmitters, trying to contact the other world; it's like a party out there. Opens everyday at 5a.
