This stadium is home of the Texas A&M Aggie football team and seats a staggering 82,600 people. In 1922 during a tough game the Aggie's coach summoned, from the stands, E. King Gill. Gill, a former football player, and on the reserve list, suited up and rejoined his team on the sidelines. A&M won the game, without Gill's playing, but his willingness, support, and dedication to his team epitomizes the spirit of the Aggies and their fans. At a game, the entire team and student body exemplify the spirit of Gill, The 12th Man.
